With AI coding tools advancing so fast, do we still do qualitative and quantitative research to understand our users before building products? Or have we moved to ‘vibecoding’ first and finding a market later?

It also offered limited device access and provided unclear value to users. ……. Building a product is one thing. Building a product people actually need is another.

My summary is that Quibi failed because it charged for short-form, mobile-only content that people could get for free elsewhere. It also launched during a pandemic when its “on-the-go” premise didn’t fit real-life habits. (Timing matters in everything we do!)
