In real life, people who are knee-deep in debt, live ostentatious lives, while accruing more debt. If someone builds a reputation on the appearance of wealth, they will fund their vices in ways that do not affect said appearance. This is not a far-fetched concept.

I was watching a Nollywood Movie.... There's a CHRONIC gambler who has lost EVERYTHING to gambling and he's in massive debt to a loan shark who is THREATENING HIS LIFE and his mom's life. Ladies and gentlemen of the Press, this chronic gambler still has a CAR he drives around. These are the issues. The movie is in the cinemas

Love Portion happened… and I’m still feeling it. ❤️ Thank you to everyone who showed up, listened, felt it, and became part of the story. This is just the beginning. If you’ve experienced it already… you know. If you haven’t… it’s waiting for you. #LovePortion #Dozraelytes:

I saw Evi at the cinema. Beautiful story. It didn’t exaggerate what female artists go through in the industry. It’s well told and balanced. The acting? Superb. My favorite character? “My muse” 😂 Go watch to understand. #evithemovie

@Zizi_Oba He isn’t a critic. A critic doesn’t just watch a film. They read it, question it, and translate it denotatively and connotatively without reducing it to their own limited experience. They interpret, not just react. And I haven’t seen him done that.

I’m tired of seeing people critic Nollywoodwith so much confidence and little understanding. A real critic engages intent, context, and language they ask why before dismissing. If all you do is projecting expectations. that’s not critique, it’s impatience dressed up as insight.

Please take your time to go and see EVI in the cinemas. It doesn’t have return of anything only that you’ll return to see it after the first watch. EVI is a musical dram you’ll love so much.

I personally feel like some of these refurbished old Nollywood movies showing in cinemas are unnecessary. Gbogbo return of kinikan is needless. it’s better to create something fresh and different for the audience.

It’s a difference in how narrowly or broadly you’re willing to interpret human behaviour. At this point, we’re not really discussing the film anymore you’re the one defending a singular perspective as a universal rule. And that’s where this conversation naturally ends. Shalom!
The Creative ®@thecreativexx

You have still not given a valid counter argument but only choosing to lean into the inaccurate narrative portrayed in the movie. I have stated facts, logically and rationally with experience about the modus operandi of a particular demograph but your own "imagination" of what its supposed to be is the accurate one. Oya na. Lmaoooo😂

The idea that there is only one way a chronic gambler under threat should behave is ironic, a simplification of the very complexity you’re claiming to defend. I’ve seen gamblers all my life. I am aware of my stance. It’s just like saying every Down syndrome is same with all.
