@LaurenDownSouth @adamnewyork @MannyAbarcaIV Hear me out, a growing population equals more crime. More crime equals more jails and prisons.. less crime means less funding for those prisons and jails including the private ones.. pretty simple logic.

@adamnewyork @MannyAbarcaIV We have a massive number of prisons and prisoners, and clearly, people are still committing crimes. And since those numbers have grown not fallen it indicates that it does not deter crime. What we refuse to do is deal with the root causes of criminal behavior.

@DerkaLord @unlv We were responding to burglaries at 11pm but we’re reported and logged in to the system at 5-6pm. Robberies in progress are bad. Couple officers tops at most times. Most are awesome cops but very very over worked.

@DerkaLord @unlv I’ve taken a lot of ride alongs with metro only because I too wondered why things would take so long or handled in my mind incorrectly. I learned that they lack officers. BIG TIME. I was with the SW squad multiple times a day/night. 5-10 cops for over 300 square miles.

@stoneyams They’ve gotten reports about another but so far it’s unconfirmed by any law enforcement.

@stoneyams Shooting was around room 216 student union room. That’s the last the radio has updated before going to tactical radio. Basically public cannot listen. So far they’ve said one suspect in custody/deceased and uncertain about another.
