These are the moments that make you respect a side like Karnataka. Not just for producing match-winners for India over decades, but for the sustained dominance and winning culture they’ve built in the domestic circuit. Punjab, without doubt, has produced some absolute match-winners for the country. But the consistency, domination & title-winning legacy at the domestic level is still something to aspire to. As a cricket fan who comes from the incredible land of Punjab, I genuinely wish to see the state grow into a powerhouse like this one day in all formats, not only in white-ball. #PUNvKAR #RanjiTrophy #IndianDomesticCricket

Karnataka Win 👏 They qualify for the quarters & the celebrations say it all 👌 Captain Devdutt Padikkal finishes it off in style and remains unbeaten on 120*(85)💥 What a brilliant performance & what a fantastic chase 🔥 Scorecard ▶️ bcci.tv/domestic/ranji… @IDFCFIRSTBank | #RanjiTrophy | @devdpd07

So 🥉it is for India at the Thomas Cup 2026. Can't really blame Ayush Shetty, probably wasn't ready for MS 1. Srikanth made a few good plays today, glimpses of an older version of his, but unforced errors. Not the best of days for Prannoy today, looked in control but couldn't close it. What makes me sad is Satwik- Chirag couldn't even participate in the semis. 2 podiums in 3 Thomas Cup editions not bad. And yes, Congratulations France for their 1st finals in the Thomas Cup.

Happy retirement life. Very few could match Viktor Axelsen at his peak. I remember how he used to consistently dismantle Kunlavut. Only Chen Long, five years senior to him, seemed to have the edge. He won the Olympic Gold twice. And repeated that feat in World Championships. He

Hello Will, Good story, as I messaged yesterday. But there’s been a pattern to English players' late IPL withdrawals for personal reasons or commitment to national duty… usually that happens after being picked at the base price.

Ben Duckett has withdrawn from the IPL with Delhi Capitals, which means a 3-year ban and a hit in the pocket. But wants to put England career first Interview here on getting fit, playing Champo for Notts, putting a very difficult winter behind him telegraph.co.uk/gift/fd69b5b92…

You probably got a mini heart attack hearing the line, “Jassi, tujhe ghar ki yaad nahi aayi?” The character Pinda was actually played by Udaybir Sandhu, who’s a national-level hockey player from Punjab. He even helped train the actors for the sport. He made his debut in the sports film Gold, he dropped around 15 kg for this “Pinda” role, and then increased the same weight.

Not every inspiring sporting story ends with a trophy. Over the last few days, Lakshya Sen has shown India what courage, resilience and belief truly look like. His run to another All England final, through extraordinary wins and immense physical pain, has been about far more than

Tough one to take. Lakshya Sen finishes runner-up at the All England Open Badminton Championships. The second game went right down to the wire, but it slipped away in the end. This was his second final here and you really feel for him not being able to get over the line this time as well. Still, a brilliant run through the week and plenty to be proud of. 🇮🇳🏸 #LakshyaSen #AllEnglandOpen #Badminton #IndianBadminton

This 97-min battle is the longest MS match ever recorded at the All England Open! 🇮🇳Lakshya Sen pushed through with determination until the very last point, despite suffering leg cramps and pressure of medical regulations. Salute to him and 🇨🇦Victor Lai for an incredible match!🫡

Back-to-back statement wins from Lakshya Sen! After stunning reigning World Champion & World No.1 Shi Yuqi earlier this week, Lakshya Sen now defeats Li Shifeng to storm into the Semifinals. Two huge Chinese scalps and into the SFs. Big statement from the Indian star 🇮🇳🏸 #LakshyaSen #Badminton #BWF #AllEnglandOpen #BadmintonWorld
