I just came home to find a mourning dove nestled into the grass next to my front step, and it didn't fly away when I walked by. I went back out to see if it was injured, had a chat with it and petted it for a moment before it suddenly flew off.

@AProdigiosus I had a mourning dove I got in the 5th grade when a science teacher saved one a cat had gotten hold of, her mate stayed near cage outside till finally she left the door open and they didn’t leave. I got one of their babies in a raffle. She was with us till I was 29. 💙

What am I doing to myself i my sleep? I woke up with some wicked bruising on my leg this morning…

I slept so well today. I fell asleep at 2pm thinning it was a nap I’m just waking up. I haven’t slept more than two hours at a time for nearly four weeks.

I mistakenly left the garage door up for a couple of hours one night last week. A mama possum and her four joeys found my husband's military NBC jacket stored on a tool cart and snuggled in. All are now safely back in their outdoor environment. #wildlife #opossum #babyanimals
