For the Tories Bozo was like a jar of electoral Marmite: hate from plenty, love from plenty. Now he's like a jar of Marmite somebody's pissed in. Long may they continue spreading piss-mite on their toast and offering it hopefully to people on the doorstep.

@lukeakehurst @Russelll_E Ahhh, yes, of course, the magic ink rulebook about a certain undefined form of 'sincere apology' that means the definitely-not-vindictive outcome will be just and good. 🤡

@Russelll_E The co-operation was to oust Labour councillors in Osney and St Thomas ward. If he didn't know that a sincere apology may mean he is not expelled.

This simply isn't true. In the 2021 Oxford city council elections Neal tweeted approval of a local pact between the Greens and Lib Dems aimed at helping the Greens unseat the 2 Labour incumbent councillors in Osney & St Thomas Ward. Labour members can't back anti-Labour pacts.

Will the tedious blanket grouping of right & left of the mid 2010s as 'populist' please just fade away. One side want to hang people or let them drown in the sea, the other want all people to be entitled to the basics of human existence as a minimum. The difference is stark.

@chelleryn99 Yep. 2017: Labour successes entirely due to poor opposition, apparently. 2022: Labour successes entirely due to their own brilliance, apparently.

I fully expect Labour to be gifted a landslide at the next GE which is the worst possible outcome for working class people. It will wrongly be interpreted as a ringing endorsement of tweak politics. It will be Blair 2.0. I urge ppl to not contribute to what now looks inevitable

So apparently we can't stop Truss walking out to our song, very weird! So sad it got used by this shower of a government. BTW Truss labour used it with permission in 90's. I don't want my song being a soundtrack to lies.

Ideology, I.E a shared set of ideas or beliefs. Yes, believing in stuff is to be scorned on it seems. Stuff like believing we should actually give a shit about people. 'Course, the belief in the absolute purity and primacy of 'the market'? Oh nonono, not ideology. Cynical as ever

Here's what's gonna happen. You're gonna join a union. You're gonna make it good and clear that it's not your job to cover up a dead body and that they're breaking the law, and you're gonna demand they pay you a living wage.

@EurovisionRG @BBCPolitics Yeah who cares if he's willing to stand up for ordinary working people hey. As long as he can get himself into government so that then, unlike the Tories, he can stand up for ordinary workin.... Oh.

Johnson 'delivered' Brexit? Brexit has only been delivered in the sense that a flat-pack of furniture is delivered. It hasn’t been assembled yet because it won’t fit through the front door, several of the most important pieces are missing and the instructions are in Russian.

Keir Starmer has not been fined so here’s my prediction: Ben Wallace becomes PM. He will do a tiny bit of redistribution, look vaguely component, and play on his military background. He has a strong majority to achieve very basic things. Labour will then lose the next election.
