What firm turned up looking sharpest at your ground? Not about numbers — this one’s about gear. 👇 Let’s hear it.

It’s now 27 years since I was made redundant and given a few grand. I decided that if I was careful, I could live off the money for 6 months trying to become a comedian before I had to get another job. I was 37. Worth a punt.

Let's be clear. Neither team deserved to win. The onus is actually on the home team to be more adventurous, but they were not. That does not excuse our performance, though. You knew how we would set up when the team was announced. We didn't believe we could win. I can live with Merino starting because he helped us control an excellent midfield, but why not begin with Eze? Why not have that outlet, that spark, that player who can produce a moment of magic? The only plus today was Mosquera. What a player he is. Which reminds me. Why is the physio giving Saliba the all-clear to play when he was not right? Surely you would put him through a rigorous check. Go and watch him walk in the first minute of the game. You could see something was wrong. Three games in, and all our biggest players are injured. Same old shit.

I’m intrigued to see what the @MayorofLondon has to say about the 81st anniversary of D-Day which has allowed him to sleep under the blanket of freedom that he does today and also allow many families (his alike) to come and benefit from our incredible, tolerant, accepting culture and nation. He amongst so many must be extremely grateful of their sacrifices! Such a position of Mayor of our great capital should have of course lead by example and already have a post up but I appreciate he is a busy man and wait with high hopes that he is planning ‘the’ post of the year so far! You are most welcome 🫡🇬🇧

Liverpool did not ‘throw a party’ for Trent Alexander-Arnold. There was a barbecue at the AXA Training Centre on Friday. Trent put it on to thank teammates and staff. Similar to what Roberto Firmino did before he left in 2023. Standard stuff for a departing senior player.

#LFC are Premier League champions. But some of their fans are anything but on the evidence of this needlessly divisive afternoon. From party to poison, the last fortnight has brought out the best and the worst of the Reds fanbase 👇🔴 liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football…
