100%. This is also a week or so after we had to release a productive player for fighting their own teammate. UTSA’s antics aside, it’s beyond time for TXST baseball to do some serious soul searching. Can’t wait for the pod!

I’ll go deeper on the pod but here’s a teaser - TXST should be embarrassed getting run-ruled by their rival in a pivotal game. Beyond unacceptable. UTSA coach Pat Halmark has underlying anger issues that needs to be addressed administratively. Sucked all around.

Spoke with two sources close to this situation. Both corroborated. A shoving match ensued following the Sunday loss to South Alabama where Park was the final out. He emotionally threw his bat in frustration and it rubbed several people the wrong way. A shouting match and shoving match ensued between Park and another player. Temperatures got hot. This week, Park had a meeting with the coaches. His commitment to returning in 2027 was brought up. Neither party told the other side what they wanted to hear. Park reportedly was not officially kicked off the team, but he does not plan to return to the program. The transfer portal opens in a few weeks where he’ll likely be a target for SEC programs seeking their next shortstop. Park is a potential Day 1 pick in 2027.

Texas State officials have informed men’s basketball coach Terrence Johnson that he’ll return next year, AD Don Coryell told ESPN. Texas State won eight of 10 games to close the season, finishing 19-13 and tied for second in the Sun Belt. Texas State enters the Pac-12 next year.

I think anyone who wants TJ gone needs to remember that if he goes, the program is starting over from scratch. DJ Hall is a very unique player and I don’t know if he’d stick around if TJ isn’t here.

@Keff_C Sorry I should clarify. I meant the physicality of USM allowed them to handle us. They out bodied us all night. I didn’t mean to imply it was an easy game but it felt like they controlled it on both ends and we weren’t prepared for their physical play.
