The Survation poll puts the SNP on 53 seats after the Holyrood 2026 election. If that’s correct, it’ll be very difficult for them to form a government. Reform is predicted to gain 15 seats, but exit polls in 2024 showed they’d get 13 at Westminster, look how that worked out.

In 2015, MSPs voted for a pay increase that took their salaries just above £59,000. That’s a rise of more than 25% in 10 years. It’s now almost twice as high as the median full-time wage in Scotland. It’s a tough sell when the Scottish Government are talking budget cuts…
