Getting hands on and exploring manipulative allows students to fully explore and take risks while learning about growing patterns! Today I had a student ask “when’s math?” I said we just had math. S- “No, we were just playing with blocks!” My response yes while we patterned!

ALERT: The significant snowfall in #HamOnt while ended, continues to restrict travel, Jan 26. Road conditions for side streets are snow covered and icy. Buses are not running. As such, schools, childcare centres, and administrative buildings are closed.

Addition strategies scavenger hunt was a hit. Ss we’re challenged to use the 3 different addition strategies we’ve learned so far to solve 10 questions that were hidden around the room. Ss shared there thinking and expressed what strategy they prefer and why #mathisfun

Schools and childcare centres will be closed on Fri., Dec. 23, 2022, as a result of the major winter storm warning issued by Environment Canada. The Hamilton-Wentworth Student Transportation Services (HWSTS) has cancelled buses, and as a result, schools will be closed.
