I have been ordered by the students to put something up about my birthday- they were very kind and gave me some presents and brought cake for after our meal. 🎂🎉🥳🎁
Our final afternoon has consisted of doing some souvenir shopping in Chinatown and the Central Market . We have also had our final meal which was…..Italian! 😅🇮🇹🍕🍝🇲🇾
We went up the Petronas Towers this afternoon for some incredible views of Kuala Lumpur. Before that students had some time to do some shopping in the KLCC Mall- it is huge! 🏙️😃 🛍️
Left Malacca this morning, travelled back to Kuala Lumpur. We have a good day planned with some shopping, and a trip up the Petronas Towers. Also, a special birthday dinner later today- happy birthday Jonny.
This evening we did a small boat ride down the Jalan Bendahara river. Malacca was lit up looking amazing. We then had dinner, Abi, Emily G and Robin all took the opportunity to sing with the live singer in the restaurant. 🎶🛥️🍚🍲🍽️
We also explored the museum quarter, we stopped in the Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum, which was fascinating. After this we walked up to see the ruins of the Church of Saint Paul. ⛪️🇲🇾☀️⛲️
Quieter day today, long coach journey from Cherating to Malacca. However, this morning we said our final goodbyes to Sharvin, Iqbal and Amelia- our guides who have been fantastic. Students reflected on the impact of their work over the last 3 days.
