Lewis Macari has undergone surgery after sustaining a lower leg injury in Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Colchester United.
The defender remains in hospital in Cambridge but it’s hoped he will be transferred to Nottingham in the coming days for ongoing assessment and care, with further updates to follow when appropriate.
We’d like to thank Colchester’s medical staff for their assistance, along with everyone who has sent messages of support to Lewis.
After announcing his retirement yesterday, Adam Chicksen is on @BBCRNS commentary duty today! 🎙️
Congrats on a great career, @AdamChicksen23, and thank you for your tireless efforts in black and white 🖤
We're sorry to report that Matty Platt will be out of action for the foreseeable future after sustaining an ACL injury.
A true warrior - we know he'll be back stronger 👊
