Diana getting lawyers involved kind of conforms that she and MJ had something weird going on. I feel like those scenes were filmed with respect towards her but there's no amount of movie magic that could hide the nature of their relationship.

@saycamore Yes. They were coming for people necks with the original version and its upsetting that they had to tame it down. I hope the 2nd film leans more in the orginal direction with redactions/name changes obviously but on why his 2nd half of life was so chaotic

Legal issues affected the Michael movie more than I thought, from the overlooked contract to Diana Ross suddenly pulling out. A script that took 7 years to create had to be scrapped & rewritten in a few months. The fact that they ended up with something solid is a miracle.

@saycamore Same I know the films creators wanted to give an honest look into his life but that means certain individuals would have been the ones on display instead of Michael. Everyone loves to dissect MJ but no one really wants to be seen as the bad guy in his story
