New Year's Day (by Ellie Stewart) For a while, the morning belonged to the craws, the geese, that hawk, and the broken sledges in the park. When the sun hit the slope I slid down on my bum. Drank tea by the frosted rose at their front door.

Laura Fyfe is a poet with a chronic low boredom threshold. She filmed the video that inspired this poem during a rare Saturday night to herself during the Covid-19 2020 lockdown. youtube.com/watch?v=P0c_lR…

'Bridges' is inspired by Sylvia's @dowsylv daily walk ... a routine started during lockdown. In this beautiful poem, the years fold and unfold as she repeats her journey.

We will talk about this / We will eat apple tart / Dance in the kitchen. / I will drink your tea / Eat your metaphors. / We will talk about this ... some other day.
