If Manchester United somehow one day can get João Pedro out of Chelsea, I would be absolutely over the moon. One of my favourite players in world football at this moment in time. What an amazing season he’s had surrounded by underperforming players in an underperforming team.

Yep - 9 PL teams in Europe gives United a huge opportunity. The players are good enough to challenge for UCL football in the current state of the league, IF platformed well. Big IF though — many aren’t being platformed well at the moment but our quality is shining through.

It’s definitely a good enough squad to be finishing in Europe this season, but under this approach, with so many players not being maximised, I don’t see United getting UCL under Amorim. What’s frustrating is that a few tweaks could have United up there quite quickly.

Chance for Carrick today to really put himself in an even better position to get the full-time job as head coach. That Liverpool team is heavily weakened by missing players and I struggle to see how United don’t win today. Expect goals.

It would be great to see the number of touches and passes by midfielders and attackers in this game compared to the average PL game. I can imagine there’s a world of difference.

What do you do to stop him? He’s intricate but deadly at the same time, he’s got cuteness in his play but then kills you like that? Absolutely crazy man.

Watching this compared to what we’ve watched all season in the PL, this is a different sport, man. Olise is the best player in the world in my opinion at this moment in time — Ballon D’or will obviously be geared towards team accolades, but for me he’s the best atm.

Really, really wanted at least one if not both of Kvara and Olise, at Yanited man 🥲

@IhekeUdor I’d go for Olise. Neto is a good option but signed new contract and would be quite expensive.

Michael Olise is just a brilliant player isn’t he. Does the basics required of a winger but so much more in terms of creative ability. Lovely dribbler, retains under pressure well, picks out players in space. Also really clever runs into space himself — notices where he can hurt the opponent. Has the work rate/pressing intensity off the ball to match. That type of profile is needed, probably need two new wingers, he should be one of them, as long as there’s no long term injury worries.

What was so impressive about that Bruno assist was how he delayed releasing the pass until the Brentford player was forced to make a move, so the space opened up for Šeško. Small details but if he plays it a second or two earlier, the situation becomes harder for Ben.

So much potential in Šeško, used his body really well in that half to protect the ball, win free-kicks. Looks really sharp to get to the ball before the defenders and his goal epitomised the improvements he’s made since he’s come here. Looks sharper, cleaner, more alert.

Lammens, Casemiro and Bruno the 3 Players of the Season for me. Bruno will win number 1 for sure, I’m so happy we have a GK in the top 3 but not because we’ve had to rely on him week in, week out to save our skin, but instead because he’s been steady week in, week out.

And then you look at next season, if and when we get UCL, you’d expect to play at least 10 games as we’d probably get in top 24 in the league phase, and play a few more games you’d expect in the cups too. Really need a lot of investment in summer to get a good group.

Think he’s been through trauma off the pitch of late which may be affecting him and the change in shape to a back 4 has also meant reduced game time, but we should stick with him and build his confidence back up. Wouldn’t be shocked if next season he bursts into form again.

I have a lot of time for Amad. One part of his game we really need to see improve is him learning how to hold his line when making runs on the last line. Picks up a lot of needless offsides. Willing to be patient with him based on his grit and determination- e.g. our 2nd goal.
