Similarly, in possession below. Look at how many attackers are pinning their backline back. Although I feel this strategy doesn't consistently create chances?

Around ~18min away at Sunderland was a great example of Hurzelerball. Brighton are in possession, two passes through the midfield, and then you have 5 attackers running quickly at the backline. Hurzelerball principle (?): keep attackers high to create overloads quickly.

@GroBmisconduct2 Dunno how you can conclude "we ruined him" when he so far has been unable to demonstrate consistent quality at a premier league level

@wewuge @YedIin also as said by another comment the level of sporting infrastructure for women in the USA is very high compared to many other countries

@wewuge @YedIin it's the biggest obstacle for men because there are better and cheaper options for sport. It's not the biggest obstacle for women because there are no real better and cheaper options for sport

Any discussion about why America can't dominate football that doesn't identify the pay to play model as a bigger obstacle than their "top athletes not caring about soccer" is fundamentally unserious

@wewuge @YedIin Soccer is the most popular sport for women in the US, so you're going to get the most talented athletes despite the costs. The same is not true on the men's side, where there are at least 3 more popular, cheaper sports

@YedIin women's soccer is pay to play - why is this not an obstacle? Truth is soccer is not a top5 sport in the US and even then the fanbase is skewed towards immigrants/1st/2nd gen

Hurzeler is scathing about Arsenal’s approach: “I will never be that kind of manager who tries to win in that way.”

@M6AX3I Hurzeler is such an excellent ragebaiter unfortunate how he can direct that energy at our own fanbase at times

tremendous headloss I'd be in the press room saying the exact same stuff, need more people in the sport slagging Arteta off and maybe we can go back to the sport being watchable

@ryanadsett Was worried he was going to get bullied by Arsenal's physicality, but he played intelligently and fought so hard. Slightly less worried about our CB situation now

Fulltime Review: Final third improved, but finishing remains an issue. Arsenal are, unfortunately, are extremely good at what they do (defending, being boring, wasting time, etc). Don't feel like we did anything wrong there except not score. Feels more unlucky than bad.

Halftime review: Barring Bart's mistake, I think the match plan has worked pretty well. Pressing is intense, and we've given them not much at all. Problems with finishing chances, and we won't get many in this game. Also ref is a complete joke

@Brighton_BHA Tactical flexibility is more than shape though? Player instructions, tweaks to pressing, substitutions, etc

@Brighton_BHA Yeah but these are mentality/leadership issues (not tactical issues), which we have much less information about and is much harder to critique other than "do better" Tactically I think he's pretty good and more importantly for the modern game, he's flexible

@GroBmisconduct2 I can wear a birthday crown on my birthday and I don't expect anyone to be talking about it the day after. Same with Milner's boots. If he comes on next weekend with a pair of boots with "655" on the back that's a different story lol
