Rizwan should be restricted to Test cricket only if we want a truly competitive team in the 2027 World Cup. Additionally, Haseebullah Khan (or another promising young wicketkeeper-batter) should be groomed seriously for the wicket-keeping role to prepare for that tournament.

Everyone will blame youngsters for this loss. But what about Rizwan’s performance? The most experienced player by far. 250 games for Pakistan. Has been playing international cricket for 11 years. Constant failures. Always escapes criticism somehow. Time to move on. #BANvPAK

He didn't play at all badly in the 2023 WC, he was batting very well vs India and Australia, those could easily have gone differently. Abdullah Shafique is the one who ought to have been axed, and if I remember right he scored a century in one of those Test series first innings. Generally he's been a bit unlucky, anyway Saim has potential and Sameer one for future but these guys can't be really compared to Imam who has a genuinely good international record.

Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, and Babar Azam are ODI beasts, their best format hands down.. Dropping them is straight brain fade decision i would say. Bring back the trio. #BANVPAK

He played 6 matches with 162 runs with an average of 27 , in wc 2023, the 70 runs he scored were run a ball while chasing a massive target of 370 runs. Did not use the powerplay at all. Before the afghanistan match, he gave a statement that we are a different team now and we lost that match

@Threeenil @nibraz88cricket He's a run machine. His SR issues have also improved considerably. It's ridiculous the gap between Imam and players like Maaz Sadaqat, Shamyl Hussain etc.
