@chansfishbar Correct! It uses the same game engine, four-player combat, control scheme, and even re-uses several of the game's attack animations so that some of the dev's work on Thrill Kill wasn't totally wasted.

Special cancels aren't tied to specific combo strings, but specific attack animations. If you input a special move an attack animation allows you to cancel into, you can do that any time that attack animation shows up in a combo (no matter which button causes it to come out).
