On a day like this in May 2009, I was 15 and was crossing this bridge with indelible scars & with tens of thousands of Tamils. There was no Buddha or lotuses floating that day, it was dead & bleeding bodies. I was a witness.Pc: Today military's vesak decorations at #Nandikadal

Such a great project to be involved with. Teen bariatric experiences are unique bc they are also transitioning into adulthood and so, require additional age-appropriate supports.

So happy that our longitudinal follow-up of teen #bariatricsurgery post-op experiences @SickKidsNews has been published! Read about implications of life transitions and changing social landscapes on weight management, body image, & mental health here: nature.com/articles/s4136…

Proclaiming May 18, Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day, in which we honour and remember the innocent lives that were taken and those whose lives were forever impacted by the conflict in Sri Lanka.

Sad to see many ppl in Woburn/M1G turned away from vaccine pop-up clinic today. Scarborough needs more doses and more clinics that are organized in partnership with community groups & orgs so they are done equitably.

@ScarboroughCAN @fordnation @JohnTory Sadly @SHNcares has a capacity for 5,000 shots a day......but only enough vaccine for 1,400 shots a day.....@celliottability #Scarborough

@JeffWeissberger was my clinical skills tutor in my 1st year of medical school. Fast forward 4 years, and we're now vaccinating the #YorkRegion community side by side. Rewarding way to give back as a 4th year student! @MSHospital @uoftmedicine

So proud of this group's ability to organize an phone/email zap and mobilize other health students across Ontario! #HealthWorkersFightBack
Healthcare Students Fight Back@hcsfightback

Our team brought together >100 healthcare students to call & email @fordnation + PC MPPs alongside frontline and essential workers. All of us demanded #PaidSickDaysNow, public health not policing, & equitable vaccination. #HealthWorkersFightBack @HPAP_Ontario

In the last 24 h, @DrMWarner has spoken to @CNN & I have spoken to @AJEnglish. Many other health workers have spoken to international media too. The Ontario government's #COVID19 plan is now an international embarrassment. The people of Ontario deserve better. RT if you agree
