@GillMauthe @NightShiftMD Patients with stroke were excluded from this trial (which focused on "healthy" patients 70+, i.e. those without other indications for aspirin). Lots of good evidence for lifelong aspirin if history of stroke/TIA. Discuss with your doctor but would not typically stop in your case

@NightShiftMD I had a stroke in 2023 and am on 81mg aspirin daily. I'm 69 yrs old soon to be 70. Should I talk to my doctor about stopping?

I woke up last night to the kind of pain that makes you sweat, cry, and curse yourself for ever taking a single second of health for granted. Dental pain. Unrelenting. Excruciating. I emptied every medicine cabinet and drawer. Nothing helped until....

"Why do they only present mortality rates? Well, because if they presented measles cases, their argument that the vaccine does nothing would fall apart." Brilliant article showing how data gets distorted to serve political and anti-science agendas. #measles #measlesoutbreaks

It was a privilege to help lead @McMasterGIM's Indigenous Health Retreat alongside @CurtisSobchak. An honor to engage with Haudenosaunee community leaders and the GIM division, learning how to advocate for Indigenous healthcare rooted in principles of truth and reconciliation.

Was a pleasure leading @McMasterGIM ‘s Indigenous Health Retreat yesterday with my colleague @ThulasieM and our Haudenosaunee partners, discussing the importance of mutual respect, Indigenous self determination and how to build collaborations in the spirit of the Two Row Wampum

Instead of saying ‘I love you’ some people will say: I am here to help You matter to me You can have the last piece Call anytime I made you a meal I miss you I hope you had fun Be safe You are my best friend I am sorry, I was wrong I admire you So many words that mean the same.

Attending on the inpatient oncology consult service is such a harrowing experience. It reinforces to me every time I do it that humans with end stage cancer should not spend the end of their life in the hospital #onctwitter #MedTwitter

We have terrific health care professionals and sometimes our health care system works perfectly. Here's one such example - thanks to Michael Klein for sharing his story. cfp.ca/content/70/1/25

Please read the thread below. I have definite thoughts about this. First, I have immense respect for pharmacists. I entirely support them considering Rx refills, giving vaccinations and measuring blood pressure. I don't support what is described here. /1

And so it continues. It seems we are sleep walking through the collapse of our health system. The same is true in Ab we just make the numbers hard to find. Ontario ERs, facilities shut 1,200 times in 2023: report (The Globe and Mail (Alberta Edition)), Dec 05, 2023

AHS has been the 'shining organization on the hill' that all other provincial health systems aspired to. Albertans were incredibly lucky to have it. Several prov's have copied it. /3

I don't understand how this is acceptable to people. If we can invest this much money into private clinics, why can't we invest the same money into public healthcare? It's a sugar-coated scam, and a willful misdirection of the public toward a non-solution. #ONpoli #Ontario
