@GillMauthe @NightShiftMD Patients with stroke were excluded from this trial (which focused on "healthy" patients 70+, i.e. those without other indications for aspirin). Lots of good evidence for lifelong aspirin if history of stroke/TIA. Discuss with your doctor but would not typically stop in your case

Do not take low dose aspiring if you are age 70+, with no prior heart attack, stenting or coronary bypass surgery. That's because the risk far outweighs the benefit.

In people age 70+ without prior heart attack, bypass surgery, or stenting, the risk of major bleeding events with low dose aspirin markedly exceeds benefit. The Ontario government is breaking down barriers for Ontario students to become family doctors by expanding the Learn and Stay grant to include family medicine, and is also requiring medical schools to prioritize seats for Ontario residents.
