I will say it again #Melissa's current satellite presentation is to the T with Super Typhoon Haiyan was in 2013. In my 20 years of observing hurricanes in the Atlantic I can't seem to recall anything close to what we're seeing tonight. No comparisons come to mind.

Shelter in place alerts are now being sent out up here in the #Pilbara as Severe Tropical Cyclone #Zelia is getting set to make her final approach to the coast over the next 18 hrs or so. Intermittent heavy rain & some moderately strong winds in sweeping outer bands, but other than that nothing too crazy out there just yet.
