If you are planning to buy an EV The insurance is 49% higher per month than gas powered. I know someone paying 600$ per month for insurance. That's nuts.

People who bought the Tesla Model 3 in 2017 paid around $37,000. If they invested that same $37,000 into $TSLA stock, it would be worth ~$323,750 today. Invest in assets, not liabilities.

@OutofSpecDave I drove it multiple times a year for 30 years due to living in DC and going to the DE/MD beaches. Not a big deal. Even has walked across it multiple times.

If they made the Model 3 and Model Y able to connect to my house for emergency backup, that would be more likely to get me to upgrade my 2018 Model 3 than anything else they could do at this point.

For those of us on HW3, it isn't $99/month for FSD, it's at least $40k + $99/month, as its crap unless you upgrade to a newer car. At this point, I doubt we'll see a HW4 upgrade any time soon, they will delay it, hoping the cars age out of service as much as possible before they have to do anything....

One thing I really like about the Reolink Video Doorbell, is that we can adjust the doorbell sound. We tested to find one the dog wouldn't go nuts to each time it was used...eventually he'll learn what that sound means and go back to going bonkers...

@TrevorScottReal Yep. Anyone who bought pre-HW4 is basically getting screwed out of their FSD money. I am one of those. And no, buying another car is not the answer. That is just more cost for no damn reason.

Wait…. So if my car with FSD gets totaled, I will basically just lose the $10,000 FSD purchase. Confused by this.

NEWS: Tesla has officially discontinued Autopilot in the U.S. and Canada. All new car purchases now come standard with Traffic-Aware Cruise Control. The online configurator has now been updated to allow buyers to choose the $99/month FSD subscription, while still offering the option to purchase FSD outright for $8,000 until February 14th. New Tesla vehicles purchases still come with a 30-day free trial of FSD (Supervised).
