In classic COD fashion, hackers flooded the newly released PS4/PS5 ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 & 2 .⚡️ Hackers compromised the games newly released servers. With a couple of known exploits heavily impacting the player experience. The cheats are varied, from instant unlocks and prestige exploits, to classics such as wallhacks. Most notable, is the Negative XP hack. Where hackers will make multiplayer lobbies and drain players XP dropping the accounts to level 1, and in some cases temporarily lock the account out of multiplayer. On the official COD Updates X account, Activision announced, "The first phase of a fix to address an issue impacting player XP has been deployed. • Playlists have been updated with a server-side fix. • Players with negative XP have been reset to Level 20 so they can begin progressing again." It's important to note that the update only addresses Black Ops 1 and not 2, so it is unclear if support will arrive for this port soon. The announcement is good news for fans who were under the impression the new ports would not receive support. Activision states, "Additional mitigations will continue to roll out in future updates to further reduce these issues." Are you optimistic for the future of Black Ops mutiplayer? 🤔
