If the Americans want to dump their cheap subsidized, low quality dairy into Canada that Canadians don’t want, then Canada should be allowed to dump high quality lumber, tariff free into the USA, as it is something people actually want/need

I notice that inflation, that is the purchasing power of the dollar and Renminbi wasn't involved at all. Looks good on the graph, but with inflation in the mix, your actual gain isn't what you think it is. This is up there with "I make more than 3X what grandpa did!" and think you won something, but he had 10x less spending on bills. ( Numbers pulled out of thin air, just getting the general point out, but feel free to actually do the leg work to prove that wrong. )
