Voice actors, based on some of the casting calls I have been seeing lately, I would like to share a quick list of green and red flags to help people out. Red Flags: 🔴A casting director requiring you to join a Discord server just to be considered for a role. 🔴 Vague language around being paid. 🔴Vague language on whether or not you were shortlisted. Green flags: 🟢 A proper email or submission address that feels professional. 🟢 A Google Doc or brief that clearly explains the project and how to submit. 🟢 Clear audition lines with character backstory, direction, and stated payment or usage. 🟢 A clear audition deadline, plus transparency about whether unsuccessful applicants will hear back. Stay strong out there, fellow voice actors 💖

Hey casting directors! Do not require actors (who are extremely busy humans) to join your chat room apps. These apps can be a fun way to do general updates that aren’t necessary to the acting process, however requirements like that are a no go. If you want to contact all actors you can simply use email with BCC option It is pretty frowned upon so you may lose out on some amazing actors if this is a requirement. Email is simply more professional and easier to manage

I've read the doc and I'm going to be honest... this just screams unprofessional and red flag coded. I get that you want to perfect a project like this, but this is not it. Best wishes on your project but I seriously will not audition with how you went about this casting call.
