@JimNagy_SB This tweet by ProfootballTalk is what is expected by a guy that never played a down of football in his life!

Aspiring NFL Scouts all NFL teams will be grading cuts and bubble players during NFL preseason games. To see if they can find a player to help their roster. One of my favorite things to do. I usually graded 3-4 teams to project if players could play in our 4-3 scheme.

@Mathieu_Era When I was a college scout with the Rams you were one of my all time favorites to scout. Excuse my language but I always said the Honey-badger doesn’t give an F***! He will make the play and throw his body around!

Aspiring NFL Scouts there is not a lot of love in the NFL for great run game NT. I can tell you as former MLB I would of dreamed playing behind Sam Adams and Ted Washington in their heyday. To be drafted as big NT you better be very good (great) against the run. 2 down player

@ScoutingLenz @Jack_Despeaux You talking as a player or as a group? What I was talking about was special players versus the run with little or no pass rush. Not many of those players in the NFL a lot to do with the college game and spread offenses

I’m going to be in #Memphis soon and want to finally visit Lorraine Motel/National Civil Rights Museum. How long do I need to block off to properly take it in? Thanks in advance!

Aspiring NFL scouts toughest thing for me was not killing a DC because he couldn’t tackle. Had to learn if he was a willing participant or not. This could be because of technique or lack of strength.

@RicSerritella I thought this was a great move for Jordan. He was lucky that he was able to showcase himself at the HUB!!

Exciting to see Jordan continue his career. Extremely proud to be part of HUB, it works. Matthews, Justin Hardy + Emmanuel Ellerbee were all signed off their July workout. Ben Putman had 3 NFL workouts this week. Opportunities for others will come soon! See you in September.

@scout_aldomu I like foot quickness also athletic ability, flexibility in the hips, toughness and a must is football intelligence for OL. When I say undersized it might just be arm length or height.

@Tigerdb59 What was the trait you liked the most to make that projection? Foot quickness?

Aspiring NFL Scouts I started to really like smaller OTs when I was working in the NFL. I liked the idea of kicking them inside (OG) to deal with the very good pass rushing DTs. Especially with more and more zone running schemes. They became more valuable in my opinion.

Aspiring NFL Scouts be able to listen to other’s opinion about a player even if it differs from yours. Nobody is ever 100% right. Always mind blowing that some people can’t do this. They just saw it differently than you.

@BDavis0916 Tough question really. It would seem obvious that you would want a power rusher. I just think it is for me bigger DEs because I believe that finesse and power can work on passing downs.

@Tigerdb59 Do you value DEs that are power rushers or speed rushers when looking to see if they can slide inside?

Aspiring NFL scouts when scouting DE always project if he has value sliding inside to rush the passer in dime or nickel situations. It adds value to the player.

@Tigerdb59 Interesting. I know at least a handful of teams only want their scouts watching 4-6 games of a player and no more. Is that a newer idea? Or is that notion false?

Aspiring NFL scouts when grading a player I always started with the best competition on my film grading and worked my way down. I always felt that I needed to see best competition first. Also I always watched a minimum of 6 games films on the player before forming an opinion.
