What do you think about what this woman said?
My honest take : she should not work in healthcare serving the public. I support her right to free speech. America IS a Christian country with Judeo-Christian values and morality, whether or not the left likes it or wants to admit it. There are good Muslims and bad Muslims, just as there are good Christians and bad Christians, good Jews and bad Jews, good Buddhists and bad Buddhists, etc. Muslims who come to America and want to assimilate with our culture and way of life, welcome.

This talking point is so tired. The first amendment was a stroke of genius and very specifically written to allow various sects of European Christians (who had warred with one another for centuries over their divergent interpretations of Christianity) to live in harmony in America. It worked. We have not had wars of religion here. Our government not being Christian doesn’t mean we as a people are not Christian. Again, it’s north of 60%.
The Founders never envisioned anyone but an overwhelmingly Christian people living in America.

@americanthymos @hdrnssr Just because a certain percentage is one religion doesn’t make it the national religion. We have the first amendment for a reason. If the founding fathers wanted Christianity to be the national religion they had every opportunity to do so. But they didn’t.
