What an amazing find today by S . We found a bug and googled it . Found out it is a type of lady bug which is orange with large black spots. We called him Tom and gave him a little home.@ShawlandsPS

Only a little bit of change over the weekend.. but some beautiful colours. If you want to try this at home all you need is food colouring, water and some white (or light colour) flowers. @ShawlandsPS

The flowers this morning! The pen ink one is slowly turning but the others are much faster. They are looking beautiful 🤩 @ShawlandsPS

In Science today we are doing an investigation of how the xylem works and what it does for the flower. After about 10 minutes in gel colouring one is already changing colour. We can see how the stem is feeding the petals. @ShawlandsPS

Yesterdays assembly was done by couple of pupils. They engaged with the whole school and told them a story about plastic waste and it’s effects. Then they did Q&A answering so many questions . Finished of with a song about plastic waste & its effects! @ShawlandsPS @missjacksonY4

Our Egyptian masks . Made in pairs. Starting off with paper mache to make the face, creating the surround from cardboard and oil pastels. Then some drew and others painted the face on to bring our Tutankhamen masks . @ShawlandsPS ask your penguin which one they helped create.
