Frustrating to watch pitchers struggle to throw strikes

Royals bullpen does not throw strikes. The pray you swing at pitches outside the zone. No need to ever take the bat off your shoulder. I hate this bullpen

To be fair, Massey had a clutch HR in the 8th to tie the game

What did it take for the Royals to snap their 8 game losing streak? A walk, a walk, a strikeout wild pitch to allow base runners to advance to 2nd and 3rd, and a wild pitch to score the winning run. Still no clutch hit. Now 8-16

@mickshaffer You saying their best chance is to somehow get to 3rd and hope for a wild pitch/passed ball?

I actually don't blame Lane Thomas. It should be desperation time for every base.

How do you get picked off twice in the same game? Even the Royals don’t pull that crap.

@mickshaffer Q constantly trying to play “Small Ball” having Isbel bunt & giving up on another possible big inning. No wonder we can only score 1 run per game, Q loves giving the other team free outs.

I don’t care how many blown saves Erceg ends up with this season, for every game this team scores 1 or 2 runs and has double digit runners LOB, they deserve to lose because of the offense

@AlTheBoss03 Agreed but largely because no player seems to care about batting average any more. All are looking at launch angle and power and slugging / OPS.

A .400 hitter will never exist again in MLB. The game simply won’t allow it. Agree or disagree?

@Playthescotsman @MizCarson To put another way, my favorite team is KC Chiefs, 2nd favorite is MU football, then MU basketball, then Royals, Sporting KC, KC Current, etc. Jayhawks aren’t 1 on my list (probably 3 or 4) but definitely top non NFL team

Royals had the bases loaded and one out in first and the bases loaded and no one out in the third and came up empty both times. It’s almost artistic.

To have 9 hits through 4 innings and only muster 1 run is extremely frustrating and why this team is losing so many close game. They do not capitalize on the opportunities

Would be nice if Royals’ situational hitting was total dog shit

@Wowie420Zowie @nut_history I think I would be lucky to foul tip one of the first 20 pitches. But the eye eventually can time what it is seeing, have a general idea of where the pitch is going (again, off a machine), and figure by 50 pitches in, would think I would have at least a couple decent contact

@Wowie420Zowie @nut_history I played through my freshman year of high school. Never saw anything above probably 75-80. One of the biggest issues is timing. If you know what pitch is coming, makes things easier. If it is from a machine, I don’t have to worry about control. (Contd)
