@TonyManfredonia As some other people said here, deadlines! O tend to procrastinate till the very very last moment. I rarely have time to tweak stuff before the deadline haha.
To all my fellow creatives:
What is your process in “letting go” of your work? What steps do you take?
You can always polish something further. You can always make more tweaks.
But eventually it has to be “let go” and it will live on as a reflection of your work at that time.
“I appreciate also that there’s some non-commissioned work in there too! Always good to make music for ourselves :)”
This little snippet is exactly that, no commission, no deadline, just me noodling around in my DAW at home.
Thanks for the kind words and the reminder, Austin.😌
Sometimes music doesn’t need to be commissioned.
A while back, I emailed one of my musical inspirations, Austin Wintory whose music has played a big role in finding my own musical style. He replied with something that’s stayed with me:
@TijmenDaniel A screen that expands your world. #GalaxyZFold7 unfolds into an immersive powerhouse, perfect for everything—from watching to working.

New music for an art installation that is inspired by the works of Joana Schneider and the nature. For now I’ve taken inspiration from the photos I took last summer on a trip to Madeira! :)
Announcing Experience Music! experiencemusic.co For over 20 years I've created custom music for live and interactive entertainment experiences. It's only going to grow more. Excited to be part of that growth with several projects this year.
Let's GO! 🚀
@mpatti A soundscape project that’s about the chaos of modern day society! Sound design and music! :) also mixing it in 5.1 for the first time, lots of fun stuff! What about y’all? :)
Currently busy working, recording sound design from different countries, cities and overall places for my upcoming project Wake-up Call! Wake-up call is a soundscape project that will be a combination of recorded sound design together with musical compositions.
More later! :)
Hi Amsterdam ❤️🇳🇱 Just landed, and on my way to Groningen to sing the first rehearsals with @hetNNOnu orchestra and conductor Arjan Tien! Let's start this video game concert tour 😍🎙️
Posted this on LinkedIn so I thought I would post here too:
After 17 years of starting and running Cinesamples, Inc. and launching Musio (musio.com) these last 5 years, we’ve built a strong foundation. I’m incredibly proud of our amazing team, who, despite a pandemic and numerous challenges, launched a successful and profitable startup. From here, the goal is to build on this foundation and continue growing towards some exciting plans for the future and our customers.
I’ve always loved making music, and it’s been my passion since I was 12. So I’ve decided to dive back into what I truly enjoy—creating music for cool projects. I’ve already begun some exciting work with my friends at Disney parks and other ventures.
With that said, I realized that I can’t give my full attention to running the company as CEO while also pursuing my music work. The company deserves someone dedicated to this role, so I’ve decided to step away and am excited to promote our CMO, Chris Hayzel, to CEO.
I’ll remain on the board and as an owner, and I’ll still be involved in those capacities. I truly believe this is the best decision for us to continue serving our customers long into the future. If you’ve supported us over the years, thank you, thank you!
That moment you realise the music you are writing sounds familiar, only to find out it has some resemblance from the score of HTTYD composed by John Powell. Well, time to start over haha!
