@drewlevin This would be a good game for the AI to learn from 29 minute game id 701548733. You've got the combination of first timing a champion + admitting to target inting + afk farming jungle. Literally farm jg recall on repeat never attack anyone and it was undetected.

hello! I just cleared (nearly) all the replies to my old pinned, so I'm starting a new one. as part of that, I passed along ~150 potential inting cases to the team. thank you very much for your help in improving our detections.
if you want to make sure that I see something you send me, please make it a reply to this or link to it here. I can't make any promises that I’ll see or reply to all of this quickly (I try to enjoy my weekends too, I have a full time job, etc), but I'll do my best.
some tips to help me help you: if you include more information, i will be more likely to reply to your thing. please don't post random screenshots of people flaming you in DMs, I won't be able to do anything about that, just send those straight to player support. and if you want me to report your bug, please reproduce it in practice tool.

@drewlevin @hazmateuw the normals SR low levels are dead anyway. Most people leveling account will use aram or arena what ever. Riot are reducing game times by removing load times\minions spawn. That should be applied for new players who would like to play competitively too.

i cant help but think that this is performative
if Riot really wants to make the game more accessible, how about making the player onboard experience better? Dota 2 for instance has an incredibly good one

@drewlevin @Manenkos it is annoying when Riot take away skill expression. This is kinda similar to when Riot decided TP was too impactful on the bot lane, removed the ability to Cancel TP. Fast forward a few years, tp has changed and now is insanely slow\less impactful but we never get canceling back

@Manenkos like it’s fine if you’re crashing out because you value this part of the game and are sad to see it go, but stuff like this makes me believe that you don’t see a difference between your own preference set and what may be a good decision that serves players other than you

[Apex Matchmaking]
Wanted to add a bit of context to some of the Apex Matchmaking fairness conversations happening recently.
What we've been hearing
1. It's frustrating to have Diamonds and Challengers in the same game
Response: Agree with this being a not ideal experience and it's an item to resolve when we can get to it.
Only making Challenger queue times longer isn't something we can do right now without unintended consequences or negative tradeoffs on queue times/match quality
We currently have a few higher priority things we're working on, but it's something we want to be able to do in the future
2. These massive LP Diff games are unfair
Response: We currently believe that games that have Large LP diffs are ~fair, with the way we are matchmaking them rn.
There are other factors we take into consideration as well like Duos, Autofill balance, etc.
On average, we observe Apex+ teams have between a 49-51% chance to win anywhere from 0 LP diff between teams to 2000 LP diff.
This is because we're matchmaking on MMR, not LP currently.
However, these large LP diffs can be pretty confronting to look at and make the match look unfair.
95% of games fall under 1500 LP diff between teams, 86% under 1000LP, 65% under 500LP.
We have more work to do here to make matches both be fair and look fair.
I've attached 2 examples of random games with these diffs. Sometimes there are low rank alt accounts that are actually super strong players that actually have very high ratings (and are often duoing). Other times (the vast majority), the MMR of the teams are fair, but their LP values are desynced for a variety of reasons (climb timing, etc.)
There are of course games where there's a lopsided LP diff and the team with higher LP wins, but it happens as often as the lower LP team winning.

Full Patch Preview 26.10!
Systems
- New from yesterday are small buffs to Doran's Bow and Helm
- Doran's Bow at this tuning is the most efficient starting item, but the tradeoff to all of the others is opening yourself up to dying from ganks and all-ins
- We're also giving a small buff to Doran's Helm as it's predominantly a K'Sante item at this tuning and we think it can be broadened to more users
- In 26.11, we intend to make a change to Cleaver and its interaction stacking with Deathfire Touch to give it an internal cooldown
- These changes were too risky to do on this patch however
- Lich Bane changes are aimed at providing more differentiation to Dusk and Dawn on the Movespeed and Burst Damage aspect, however we don't think we can go much higher than these values
- Cyclosword is looking a little strong and so we're giving it a nerf
- At the same time, we think after these changes it will still be a bit on the stronger side, but we want to give it a bit more time to stabilize and we can discover the shape of the optimized patterns and what users come out
Zed and Naafiri
- We have to talk about Zed and Naafiri if talking about Cyclosword
- As 2 of the AD Assassins with a functional poke pattern, these champs were always going to benefit from Cyclosword's new passive in the same way that if there was no AD Sheen item and we added one, it would be disproportionately powerful on those users
- We're taking care not to overly nerf these two champions, but they're also too strong with Cyclosword
- We're giving a small nerf to both champions, but they will still likely be strong after the nerfs as it seems reasonably likely that we'll need to adjust Cyclosword in the future as its true balance state becomes more known (and we don't want to Riot special these champions)
Ambessa
- Last patch, the R changes, which we think are good for the champ long term, ended up being a pretty moderate sized nerf
- We're restoring a bunch of power back to her now that we know the power level more clearly
- We're opting not to restore power in any of her mobility capabilities and instead increasing the throughput of each ability cast
Anivia
- These changes are targeted at nerfing Anivia in non-mid roles, especially Top lane where her trading patterns are a bit more oppressive to play against
Lee Sin
- This patch features some modernization changes to Lee Sin to help him feel more fluid and pull off some fancy plays without giving him more net power
- There are a few feelsbad mechanics adjustments that were added to Lee's kit over 10 years ago (like penalizing ward hops) that don't really make sense in the modern game anymore [I remember getting an interview question about these changes when I was just starting at Riot!]
- These changes are aimed at providing Lee more opportunities for incredible highlight moments and raising his skill ceiling, given that he's been out so long and many players are at the top of his mastery curve
- We'll be keeping an eye on how these changes affect Lane Lee Sin as well

Patch 26.10 Preview!
Arena
- We're really excited that Patch 26.10 will be 6 teams of 3!!
- We're really excited to see how y'all like this
Patch 26.9
- There's been a lot of cool and fun things coming out of 26.9 social media 😅
- We've seen AP Statikk Shiv Xin Zhaos, people claiming 36% Winrate AP Ezreal is busted, people having a good time trying to figure out who Deathfire Touch is on...
- And also people trying to make some of the alt builds work, but alas they may just be too weak...
Systems Changes
- Probably the biggest chatter on the patch are Deathfire and Gluttonous Greaves
- Deathfire is looking a little too strong, especially in the laning case, but the audience it's landed on has been great in giving some of these champs a keystone they're actually happy with
- After the micropatch nerfs, the power level is in a much more reasonable spot, so just a small adjustment here
- Gluttonous Greaves has picked up a nice new user base, especially Fighters and AD Assassins who might not have another offensive boot option (outside of Lucidity)
- We think the boots are too strong, both in non-mid roles and in mid with the boot upgrade
- So far Stormraider's has landed a bit weak, so we're giving it a bit of a tap up
- One of our goals with the Dusk and Dawn changes was to help differentiate it a bit from Lich Bane
- We think we can give Lich Bane a bit of an upwards adjustment to further differentiate
- Will talk about champions tomorrow
Apex Ranked (reset regions)
- We're going to let Apex MMR's settle for another patch before re-evaluating whether or not duo should be re-enabled
- Have investigated several of the "Emeralds in Masters lobbies" cases, they have so far fallen into:
1. A player who didn't play much prior to the reset, so they are still starting from Emerald (as if they were playing in the early days of 2026)
2. A person who is climbing a fresh account and has a really high winrate (and close to Masters); though a reminder that this is not faster to climb than playing on your main
3. An Emerald (or multiple) duoing with another Emerald or Diamond player (especially Diamond player with a high MMR)
- So far, I haven't seen anything broken about these games; they are typically fair both MMR and LP wise, even if visual ranks look a bit off

@drewlevin if that means sitting back and watching the chaos unfold and then saying I told you so. It would just be cleaner and more transparent on Riots end, that way the community can't turn around and complain.

@drewlevin Riot need to take a page out of Jagex's 07 team when it comes to these big game changes (voice coms, resetting rank, etc). Start letting the community vote on these subjects via the client. It's clear they're now listening and are willing to bend to the community outcry even -

@Violet_OCE @drewlevin @drewlevin this is a prime example of why telling us who is autofilled in lobby would help the "none apex servers" the milio support mains top but the system put an autofilled vlad in top to match GM aurora. No chance of winning the game, if we swapped support and top its even

@RiotPhroxzon is there forever going to be an unbalance in lp gains between "apex regions" and shit tier regions? Or is the 30 lp gains temporary (I thought I saw a post where the goal is to have it settle at around +25-15)
