I have no opinion on the current controversy sweeping the genre community.

A certain bookseller sent me a promo email advertising "all the great fantasy coming out this spring!" Every title presented was romantasy. Every one.

A bunch of fantasy authors I admire are suddenly producing epic science fiction. Is this the sea change? Do I need to dust off my cyberpunk wheel of time notes and get on trend before the tide goes out?

This morning my mom, Anne Kathryn Wolfenden Akers, passed from this world. In the last week she has been surrounded by family and loved ones. She was a blessing to all who knew her, especially to me. May she rest in glory.

If you're an SFF reader and you haven't read Christopher Ruocchio's THE SUN EATER, I urge you to go read it. If you've read THE SUN EATER and are wondering where to go from there, the answer is Gene Wolfe's THE BOOK OF THE NEW SUN.

This is not good. Changing Le Guin's work of all people? Sheesh. There are so, so many reasons not to do this. Putting words in a dead person's mouth being only one of them.

My mom was taken to the hospital on Tuesday with various complications. They discovered a blocked bile duct and a mass on her pancreas. Our current path is getting her stabilized and comfortable. Any prayers you can direct her way would be appreciated.

@Starscolapse The Reign of Dragons anthology, premium edition. I'm only selling these at conventions, but I think you can order direct from JDL Rosell or Jasmine Young. Some of the other authors in the antho also do direct sales, but I'm less sure. Check around!
