Jason Alexander losing every Emmy nomination for George Costanza in Seinfeld still feels absurd. George gave the show its neurosis, panic, selfishness, insecurity, and legendary meltdowns. One of the greatest comedy performances television has ever seen.

I know a lot of people believe this, but for what the Castellini's have, and let's be clear, I'm not defending them at all for the shortcomings, but they spend money at a good rate.
The issue is, their ops guys don't know HOW to spend the money they're given.

@Nati_Sports Brother…. It’s the castellini’s fault we’re in this mess. They are top 5 cheapest owners in all of sports.

@RedsMuseum I was listening on the radio. I was stunned when it happened. Soto was so good and I wanted him to have that no hitter
English

May 12, 1984. On this date in Reds history, Mario Soto came within one strike of throwing a no-hitter against the St. Louis Cardinals. The no-hit bid ended when George Hendrick hit a game-tying solo home run to knot the score at 1-1. The Reds scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to get Soto the victory. #RedsMuseumArchives.

The worst governor in the history of Ohio said the fraud is just the cost of doing business. I want my tax dollars refunded.

I am so happy @PaniniAmerica lost their license for NBA and NFL. They have the WORST website imaginable. Was on early and tried at the very second and receive error messages. Box sells out in 1 minute. Why even say you are releasing it in the first place? Awful. @CardPurchaser

@cardvender Well said. People will be very sorry and lament the demise of card shops, all in the name of lowest prices. Long for the days when there was multiple license holders. Competition is good and very American, monopoly and control not so much
English

Long one but good one
The sports card market is in a weird transition. Prices are now being compared across card shops, retail (Target/GameStop), and online—and competition is heating up fast. With essentially one main supplier (Topps/Fanatics), distribution + pricing dynamics are getting messy.

@RickBroering @RollBlobPod How many years of eligibility will he have remaining?
English

Xavier just landed a commitment from UAB guard Chance Westry.
Westry is a 6-6 playmaker who averaged 15.5 points, 5.5 assists, and 1.3 steals in 30.6 minutes per game last season while shooting 48.7% from the field and 24.1% from 3-point range.

@cardvender How will the hobby shops provide liquidity for the hobby when Topps won’t provide adequate product to the hobby shop to generate their own sales and profits?
English

If a customer buys a hobby box at dicks sporting goods and pulls a card >$1k what then?
They probably go to their local hobby shop to try to sell it, but the local hobby shop is struggling cause they don’t get allocation from topps anymore since it went to dicks. They won’t be around much longer or have to widen their spreads.
Is dicks going to buy it ?
What if the person doesn’t have eBay?
Maybe they could use a consigner or Facebook marketplace.
I think have a hobby like product in a pure retail manner is a weird situation.
