I'm one Backbench MP. As a direct result of this Leadership shambles, I've had at least one and potentially two Ministerial Meetings cancelled due to resignations and now having to pull out of a Conference on cancer next week due potential votes on Starmer next week. And I'm just one Backbench MP....Can you imagine the impact of this all across Government?

A man with a German shepherd is currently verbally harassing and physically assaulting two homeless people outside botanic train station- we called the @PSNIBelfastS and they did not take the situation seriously and expressed annoyance that we called. I would encourage the PSNI to dispatch someone to intervene as the individual is acting aggressively and is not in control of his dog.

The only future for VAR is as a challenge system, 2/3 challenges a game. Refs no longer ref a game. If they get it wrong - there’s always VAR. Except VAR thinks it’s a “high bar” but then there’s the times, for unknown reasons, it’s not a high bar and they inexplicably intervene. The system is a mess

I’ve zero interest in Scottish football, before the haters start, but that is not a penalty in one million years. That may well be the worst decision I’ve ever seen. The game has well and truly gone

I thought the idea of building a white elephant for 3/4 low level games at the euros was madness. Would not have supported redevelopment of the clearer twist for that either. So disappointed in the wrong person I’m afraid! GAA got stars in their eyes! NCAA was never sending decent teams. The best you could hope for is a low level country star. It was not a world class venue that was being built!!

Disappointing thread from you Tim to be honest. Throwing away the chance to host the Euros and preventing a venue for Gaelic games that is also capable of bringing major events, supporting regeneration, attracting investment and bringing visitors here is exactly the kind of small thinking that holds Northern Ireland back. If this was Windsor Park, many of the same voices would be demanding ambition and delivery. We need to stop talking this place down and start believing we can actually build things & compete internationally.

This will surprise no one. The very same DUP Minister has zero intention of moving to help make Casement Park become a reality. The question then becomes: What do Sinn Fein do to show there are consequences & build pressure on the DUP?

@roryken2000 It’s weird to have so many people thinking an AI picture of a spurs player is fact! There is no evidence it hits his hand, looks very much to me like his head. If it did hit his hand his arm is forced into that position by the opposing player which is not deemed a handball 🤷‍♂️

@timcairns Tbf, you rarely see a player jumping to head the ball with their hand on their head. 🤷‍♂️

If that’s a foul there will be 20 penalties a game!! Also the arm isn’t in an unnatural position! So many people commenting without reading the laws and guidance on them. Also not clear and obvious (unless you use an AI generated image of a Spurs player) that it hit his hand!! Ridiculous decision

@timcairns It was clearly a mixture of a header and handball. Hard to ignore that the arm was in an unnatural position and that he fouled the defender with his elbow.
