@nut_history Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Alex Rodriguez. Even without the roids. And it isn't perticularly close.

@IYKbaseball Trout has a full NTC which he may not waive except for Philly or NYC. Halos are too dumb to see that they should trade him, or would ask for Melton or Jobe in addition. For Meadows & Carpenter, or course. For Keith, I'd want an arm thrown in or more salary relief.

If you were the Detroit Tigers would you deal for Mike Trout if he LAA absorbed a major portion of his contract..(DET pays 20M per season through 2030) DET deals Parker Meadows and either Colt Keith or Kerry Carpenter..
The Athletic@TheAthletic

The Angels need to look into trading Mike Trout right now, as his value will never be higher, and his contract is still a major risk for them. Los Angeles is further from contention now than they were when Trout signed this most recent extension, and their farm system ranked as the worst in baseball last February. More from @keithlaw on Trout's trade value and the future of the Angels: nytimes.com/athletic/72470…

@TonyPaul1984 Winning that game with our crappy bullpen going and the way Leiter was cruising was remarkable. Monster hit by Tork, great pitching by 6 straight guys.

Game 35: #Tigers 7, Rangers 1. Detroit is 18-17. Pitching chaos is back. The Tigers are back over .500. Player of the game: Spencer Torkelson.

Jack Leiter, 12 up and 12 down. The #Tigers have never been no-hit at Comerica Park. Last time they were no-hit in Detroit was 1973, when Nolan Ryan did it at Tiger Stadium in the game where Norm Cash famously and hilariously brought a table leg to the plate.

@JD_Jerbear Pretty grim right now. They will play better. I expect Breslow is cooked if (when) they don't make the playoffs. Have lots of young talent, but front office has self-sabotaged them.

@Noahthesports I watch the game & can get pissy when fans interefere. Plenty of pauses in baseball for getting up to get food, go to bathroom, start the wave, etc. Don't do it as pitcher winds with 2 on base. But this is ridiculous. Unless he can't stand up himself, & asks politley, forget it.

I need to have a chat. When a big homer occurs, is it bad to stand and get excited? Here is another one, what about standing up when the starters leave the game and did well. That guy behind me is a d bag. Never felt like I could stand at all. Even the last out, he yelled.

Keider Montero gets a nice standing ovation after 6.2 strong innings. Injuries have hit this staff hard, and Montero has been nothing but rock solid. Huge performance with a bullpen game tomorrow.

@ChrisBrown0914 Players of the game: Vierling and Anderson. Can't emphasize how important it was for him to get 6 outs with what has been going on with that pen.

Hat tip to Drew Anderson. It’s been a tough start to the season for him, but he gave the Tigers two huge innings today.

@ChrisBrown0914 Cullenbine had a .401 OBP in 1947, but his low BA got him waived (hit .335 the year before). Played 1B that year because Greenberg was traded to Pittsburgh, I guess he wasn't very good. Was the last player cut by the Phillies in 1948, to make room for a kid named Richie Ashburn.

@papatigermike @lionswinone3 If the pitching, particularly the pen, doesn't improve a lot, they are going to end up in another dogfight just for the crappy division. Team w/the best pitching usually wins, & that's usually Cleveland. Wild cards in the AL are going to be insane w/all these teams around .500.

@TheRealSlamMan @nut_history SMH. Nope. You're just wrong. Edmonds was an incredible CF who made tons of great catches. He never caught a ball 460' from home plate, let alone catch it w/out diving.

@blessyouboys Pitchers have slumps too, but at 38 you wonder. When he signed I figured on a committee. Needs to be, but Vest sucking complicates that. Cannot win consistently w/only 4-5 pitchers of 13 throwing well. Could still win AL Central because it blows, but anything beyond that? Nope.
