While I don't know you Skip, I've followed you over the years just like I followed your father for twice the number of years. I've coached high school football for 47 years. The picture of your dad's final ride with the golden shining in the background says it all. Love ya Lou!

The conversation around college athletics and financing is unsophisticated. The players and coaches are not getting paid what they're worth based on the business of college sports. They're getting paid what they can command from overzealous boosters. College athletics is a poorly-run business with agenda-driven liberals as CEOs (college presidents). The CEOs take all the money generated by men's college football and basketball and redirect it toward their pet projects (welfare/Olympic/womens sports and whatever their science departments are studying). Once they've financed their pet projects, they then turn to their overzealous, uber-rich, ego-controlled conservative alums and convince them to pay the coaches, athletes and build the facilities. It's all a ponzi scheme built on the ego of white men looking for a way to leave a legacy (and host tailgates) that requires them to take no real risk. It's all kind of sad and funny. They're financing their own demise.

Yesssssir! You saw my players and the emphasis i placed on technique! First week in every phase was teach week for all my players sr-frosh. I did 1 week teach technique with videos and demonstrations followed by a 8 week cycle, then max. Same cycle: winter,spring, summer

Let me tell ya something Tom, I've known you since ya photographed my son at McClure Northin 1995. Tommy Zbikowski might have been the most WOW kid I've seen on tape when he was a senior and we played the winner of whomever they lost to while I was at Edwardsville HS. Dude!

I took this picture of Adrian Peterson in 2003 at a Luby‘s restaurant in College Station Texas. If I remember right a trophy shop owner in Palestine,TX drove him to meet me we sat and talked for about an hour. I did an interview and considered him very modest and unassuming.
