I idolized a lot of athletes growing up, but there was only one Steve Taneyhill. Still remember how my black #18 Gamecocks jersey smelled. When I wore it, I felt like a super hero. When I watched him play, I felt his joy. Oh, the mullet-filled memories. RIP Steve 🙏🙏🙏

Heckuva run by Irmo in the LLWS! As a dad of a 12-year-old and 10-year-old baseball players in SC, I especially appreciate how those boys represented our state with class in victory and defeat. So many of us put on the uniform, but so few make it that far on any level.

Just watched "In Spirit," the documentary on @GamecockBasebll's back-to-back titles inspired by Bayler Teal and Charlie Peters. Seeing it now with my wife & three boys hit different than seeing it unfold in real time all those years ago. God bless the Teal and Peters families!
