Met with Chief @jamesramertps this morning for an update on the ongoing police response to this weekend’s protest. While the situation remains peaceful today, police are continuing to monitor and a number of road closures remain in effect.
@TimHockey There are numerous other thresholds that concern me, including that the protest and occupation were denied municipal permits. So it's illegal. Also counter-protestors are being harrased and yet Confederate flag and Nazi symbols are given a pass. Protest is a right, but not this.
