One of the most common misconceptions about Scripture that I’ve personally encountered is the idea that Satan and Eve were alone when they spoke, and Eve took the fruit to Adam who was off tilling a vegetable bed or something. In actuality, Adam was right there the entire time.

So we messed up our time and missed church online at Redeemer in Ft Wayne so we were scrambling to find another service. Yeah no. We should have known better. I nearly lost my mind when the female reading Holy Scripture started leading the congregation in the Apostles Creed. They didn’t follow any of the Divine Services in the LSB, their Communion statement was pretty weak and then that situation. We held on and enjoyed the hymns. Lord have mercy. It’s wild out there my family.

Today is Palm Sunday so I got up and went to church. Our beloved pastor of over 20 years retired a few months ago, so we have fill-ins until we find a new pastor. Today’s preacher du jour treated us to a left-wing political lecture. I’m absolutely livid. Had I not been sitting on the front row I would’ve gotten up and walked out. Leave it to liberals to ruin the first day of holy week.

I never understood the purpose of this doctrine. Obviously Mary was a virgin when she had Jesus, but why must she remain perpetually so? Especially when the Bible talks about Jesus’s brothers. She was married to Joseph and sex within marriage is good, not sinful.

No, that’s not it. The problem is I see absolutely no evidence for it in Scripture. Maybe instead of projecting sexual motives onto people you should have respectful conversations with them. I find this extremely disrespectful and inappropriate. You’re muted.

Paul warns Timothy about impostors and tells him to continue in the beliefs film the scriptures that he has been learning for his whole life, and explains the importance thereof. The same goes for us today - anything that goes against scripture is untrue.

@jdleggcan @JennMGreenberg @TimMcGovern18 I’m not a Catholic, I’m Orthodox. I don’t subscribe to the idea that scripture is the only infallible source of truth. Please point to the Bible verse that says it is. Then we’ll see who is rewriting scripture.
