🌟 Tim Mead 🌟 Few coaches have demonstrated the longevity, commitment, and service to the game that have defined Tim Mead's career at @WalshUBaseball. Entering his 44th season in the Cavaliers' dugout, Mead is the winningest coach in program history with 983 victories and has built Walsh into one of the Midwest's perennial contenders. Under his leadership, the Cavaliers have captured conference championships across multiple eras, highlighted by the program's first NAIA World Series appearance in 2007, a Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament title in 2022, and consecutive G-MAC South Division championships in 2025 and 2026. Since Walsh joined the G-MAC in 2018, Mead has guided the Cavaliers to eight consecutive postseason appearances while establishing a culture of excellence both on the field and in the classroom. Mead's influence on the game has extended well beyond the Walsh dugout. He served as President of both the American Baseball Coaches Association in 2011 and the NAIA Baseball Coaches Association from 2003-05 while also contributing as a member of the ABCA Board of Directors and chair of the ABCA Hall of Fame and Veterans Hall of Fame committees. In recognition of his impact on the game, Mead received the NAIA Robert E. Smith Achievement Award in 2017 and became a Lifetime Member of the ABCA in 2024. His leadership within the coaching profession and commitment to student-athlete development have helped shape generations of players and coaches while strengthening the game at both the institutional and national levels.
