@itschover the local government wanted to develop it into a theme park again but they dont have the money. nor can they just remove it itll probably just rust there until a scrap metal company buys it sadly

there's a north korean restaurant in west shanghai staffed by only north koreans and they make the best korean food i've had in my life

nanjing museum trying to simulate the republic of china (1912-49) era is probably the single worst exhibit ive seen in any chinese museum - zero substantive displays of anything and just faux restaurants and souvenir stores trying to sell you stuff

@alreadydawn soup dumplings, the vegetable rice thing, or the noodles. theres a place on fuzhou rd called 老半斋 which makes the best of all of those things

One of my favorite things about Shanghai is the abundance of various Chinese and Asian cuisines that are both authentic and fairly priced. Shanghainese cuisine itself is mid though. Too sweet and syrupy.
