Statement on the BBC apology: “The BBC has apologised for the news website referring to Reform UK as ‘Far Right’ following an intervention from my lawyers. “My lawyers are also in touch with other news organisations who repeated the BBC line. “To be clear, I view this as defamatory and libellous”.
Jake Kanter@Jake_Kanter

The BBC has apologised for describing Reform UK as "far-right" in an online article published just days after Lee Anderson joined the party.

@dunstablian Hospital waiting lists went down, schools got built and the economy grew. The last labour administration was a beacon of good government (even if they did get it massively wrong over Iraq) compared with the last 14 years if incompetence and sleaze

If your a new voter having just turned 18 please have a word with your peers who have experienced the nightmare of living under a Labour Government b4 voting Labour. The whole country came to a shuddering halt. Nothing worked. Even worse then today and that's saying something.

@seavixen899 Not exactly a Christian attitude there Andrew. Maybe read Matthew about what Jesus said about how to treat others?

Wake up people! Jordan Peterson, one of the world’s greatest intellectuals, has stated that if Labour get in under Starmer the UK will be like Venezuela for the next 20 years: a socialist bankrupted state with rampaging inflation.

Voting for a ceasefire is essentially voting to give Hamas the green light to commit further terrorist atrocities. If Britain had been attacked on October 7, and we knew exactly where the murderers were, would any MP seriously be voting not to go after them?

Israel must take the necessary steps to root out this evil virus of fundamentalism that has so clearly infested those in Hamas, and destroy it. The UK should encourage Israel in taking positive actions to change the reality in Gaza once and for all. 🇮🇱

@mattwridley Israel are still to blame for the conflict - they are the invaders. They massacred thousands in 89 and 2014. This didn’t start last week.

It now seems likely that it was a Palestinian rocket that killed hundreds of Palestinians in a hospital. The rush by the supposedly cautious BBC and others to report the Palestinian claim that Israel was to blame was atrocious. The excuses they offer will be merely pathetic.

@_HenryBolton so you think it's ok for the Israelis to displace over a million and kill tens of thousands? I'm not saying what Hamas did was right but Palestinians have been persecuted by Israel for decades and had most of their land stolen. Israel has always killed far more people.

I'm increasingly revolted by this man. He does not represent my views or, I believe, those of the British people, and it sickens me that he is Mayor of our National Capital.
