Check out some of the P. capsici population genetics research I did while working with @UTSpecialtyCrop during my time as a MS student in @epp_tn.

Tried my best to carve some Phytophthora sporangia and zoospores on this pumpkin. I think it turned out pretty well, but makes no sense to non pathologist haha.

PSA - lock up your lab when you leave. One night this week my lab was vandalized in strange ways. Highlights include cutting a power chord into pieces & placing chord in microwave, cutting hair & leaving (a lot) of hair in a cardboard box. Nothing stolen, no major damage. Why??

Sclerotinia stem & fruit rot on greenhouse cucumber. Look for white fungal mycelia & black irregular sclerotia (hard fungal structures) for diagnostics. There are fungicides labeled for this & Coniothyrium minitans is available as a biocontrol product to reduce disease pressure.
