ATTN DRIVERS: There is a new escort schedule through the closure on U.S. 395 between Lee Vining and State Route 167. Starting now, the new schedule is as follows: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm: Escorts in both directions every half hour. 7:00 pm to 7:00 am: Both lanes open without escort.
U.S. 395 from Lee Vining to Bridgeport will remain in a hard closure due to several avalanches from the recent snowstorms and the potential for more at this time. Crews are anticipating additional slides. Caltrans will work to clear these and any new slides after the storm.
