France vaccinating domestic ducks against HPAI. Predicted number of outbreaks (without vaccination) was significantly higher than the observed cases following vaccination, = 95.9% reduction in outbreaks attributable to vaccination.

In this preprint (not yet peer-reviewed), we estimated that the duck #vaccination campaign against highly pathogenic avian influenza #HPAI that was implemented in France in 2023-2024 led a relative reduction of the epidemic size of between 92% and 98%.
