@NYJets_Media Horrible. What has he done to deserve this other than not be used to his capabilities. Its a scapegoat move because Saleh said changes were coming. Weak…address the real problem

Michigan is the straw that stirs the drink in the Big 10. Without Mich it's essentially the Mountain West. To treat us this way is criminal. As a Michigan Man I would not hesitate leaving the conf. See how life is without big brother. Watch them come crawling back.

@Michael_Nania I dont disagree but isnt it more the frustration the club was/is just ok w/running Zach out there? There are better options. Fine w/giving Zach first crack but we should have gotten someone else, a Wentz type, learn the offense while Zach gets his shot, he failed, next guy up.

What puzzles me is why people have just decided that now of all times is the time to restart this whole narrative of pinning it all on Zach Wilson. What was different about his performance in this game than the previous 3? The answer is not much. He is the Jets' *backup* quarterback and that is exactly the level he has played at this year. Every unit on offense is awful right now, and when you have a backup QB he will only play as well as the supporting cast plays. I'm just puzzled as to why all of this Zach scapegoating is suddenly going on as if the Chargers game was entirely a QB problem and switching to another backup-level QB will change anything. I'll admit that even I thought Siemian was probably slightly better after that horrendous Pats game Zach had, but over the 5 games since then I think Zach has been a pretty middling backup QB which is exactly what Siemian is. In fact I think the QB that Zach has been in 2023 is very similar to the style I saw from Siemian's film when I watched it. Just a dude who goes out there, doesn't do anything special, plays not to make a big mistake (but still makes some because he's flat-out not good), throws a lot of checkdowns, makes an occasional random wow play, and ultimately just goes as far as his teammates take him. That's the definition of a mid backup and that's what both guys are. People are acting like the Jets have some love affair with Zach as if they didn't bench him twice last year and fly to California to get on their hands and knees for 40 y/o Rodgers so they didn't have to use Wilson anymore. Did we forget they got Aaron Rodgers? They don't love watching Zach any more than you do He is a BACKUP what are you expecting? Jets got screwed when Rodgers went down, that's the reality. Unfortunately there isn't a magical way to rebound when your starting QB misses every game, especially if your entire offense is terrible. And you all know I'm the furthest thing from a Zach fan boy, he's not a good QB at all and I thought he was bad against the Chargers, a bit more so than the past few games. He stinks (a little less than pre 2023 even if stats don't bear it out). I just think there are silly narratives going on because people are desperate for a solution and struggling to accept the reality that all hope for this offense went down with Rodgers. QB isn't getting fixed, so I'm focusing my attention on the issues that *can* be fixed. Better play calling, better personnel decisions, vet players getting their act together, etc.

@Tim_Healy321 @Espngreeny Agreed, but there is no way you a call any pass play there. Run it and punt it. Make the Jets go 70 yards, which they had not done all game..

All the credit in the world where it is due. Coaches held it together through devastating start. Defense brilliant. Zach playing as well as could possibly be expected. The #Jets have a real season working - if Aaron can come back there is nothing they can’t do.

@Tim_Healy321 @Brett_McMurphy @usatodaysports I wonder if that exists. No doubt there’s some big spenders out there! Point is, Penn State certainly can’t say they don’t have it as their excuse. They are a big brand.

Before Anthony Volpe agreed to wear #11 with the Yankees, he called Brett Gardner, who last wore 11, and asked for Gardner's blessing. According to Joe Bick, Gardner's agent, Gardner gave Volpe his full approval and wished him all the best with 11. Classy on both ends. #Volpe

Jets are actively working to reach an agreement with Packers’ free-agent WR Allen Lazard, per league sources. There is another team involved, and no final decision, but the Jets are trying to reunite Lazard and OC Nathaniel Hackett.

The #Jets agreed to terms with LB Quincy Williams on a three-year, $18 million deal that maxes out at $21M with incentives, per source. Williams played the past two seasons with little brother Quinnen and the #Jets, posting consecutive 100-tackle seasons. Now, he gets paid.
