Out first leg, no excuses, Crusader Voyage jumped superb & led the entire way but didn’t have enough in the tank to finish the job 🥈 pipped on the line by The Big Blue.

Cosmic Gem: Has shown steady improvement this prep with two placings from four runs (including a recent 2nd at Albany over a shorter trip just seven days ago), lands a good draw, and the Steve Wolfe stable knows the track well.

Swapped from my original 3 legs to 2. My third original selection just didn’t map properly & I tried to make it fit for a higher $ return. Came to my senses. Anyway 🤞🏼

Crusader Voyage: Has been ultra-consistent with multiple placings (including a recent 3rd first-up at Kembla), lands the powerful Chris Waller/Tommy Berry combination in a winnable maiden, and the step to 1600m looks suitable after building fitness.
