Bayverse Optimus isn't a psycho, he's just a war veteran tired of seeing his friends being brutally murdered in front of him, feeling guilty about it + guilty about humans being caught in the crossfire. "Ah but he yells and kill decepticons" yeah because people DIE in a war, is kill or being killed, the decepticons in this continuity are so far gone in Megatron's madness that they acts like animals and psychos. I can see why he's a more brutal version of the character, but unfortunately the fanbase is too locked with G1 faithfulness than with new and different interpretations of the characters (me included, i love G1 too, but come on)
