Yom Hashishi - Omer Adam (this week was insane) I had the opportunity to meet role models this week, that quite frankly I never thought I’d have the opportunity to sit across from in my life. Somewhere along the way the concept of weaponizing Shabbat came up. And I realized how powerful that idea is. Shabbat brings us Jews together, but beyond that, it has a special power to bring our enemies or people who hate us to a point of understanding on what makes us Jewish people special. And you know from a certain point, that’s what I try to do with this music I post to social media. It’s not meant to be the best sounding or the most professional, but it’s meant to bring you into my Shabbat ritual. Shabbat and music to me are intertwined and the feeling on Friday morning as we go into this ancient and holy ritual ignites a feeling in my soul I can’t explain, but I love to express it with music.
