#dandarostreets The Johanne Marange Apostolic Church has reportedly rejected businessman Wicknell Chivayo’s lavish US$510,000 donation package, which included a 2026 Land Rover Defender and US$250,000 in cash intended for church leader Nimrod Taguta. Senior figures within the sect say the gifts go against the church’s long-standing values of humility, sacrifice and spiritual discipline, insisting the apostolic movement does not embrace material excess or outside influence. In a statement posted on his Facebook account, Themba Gorimbo announced his retirement from the UFC and mixed martial arts. He said he had given everything he could to the sport, but had decided to walk away after failing to achieve his dream of becoming a UFC champion. Gorimbo admitted that the decision was not easy, but said he felt it was the right time to step away from competition and focus on his family. He also thanked the UFC, his supporters, and everyone who had helped him throughout his journey. He added that he may return to the sport in future as a coach or manager, but for now he was officially retiring as an MMA athlete.

#dandarostreets A Glen View 8 furniture dealer, Crispen, is reportedly counting heavy losses after losing over US$18,000 that he had been giving to his side chick to keep for him instead of storing the money at home or in the bank. Sources say the married businessman with three children would regularly hand over cash from his furniture business to the woman for safekeeping. He reportedly trusted her so much that he would sometimes visit her place in Glen Norah just to inspect and count the money, and everything went smoothly for a long time. Trouble reportedly started when Crispen informed the woman that he was now ready to collect the money so he could buy a residential stand and a car as planned. However, when he went to collect the money, the woman had vanished. She is now said to have fled to South Africa with the entire US$18,000. Follow our WhatsApp Channel: whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va…

𝗧𝗵𝗲 "𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘂 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮" 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 is a clever solution to an age-old grocery problem: it packs bananas in a single container in gradient order of ripeness. The idea is that you eat the perfectly ripe banana on day one, and by day six, the last green one is ready for consumption—preventing an entire bunch from going bad all at once. However, bringing this concept to the local market faces a major demographic hurdle: * 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀: This system is designed for single-person households or couples. In Zimbabwe, where larger or extended families are common, a bunch of bananas rarely lasts long enough to go bad. When bought, the whole pack is usually consumed within a day or two. * 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴: Currently, standard bananas are retailing at around 𝗨𝗦$𝟭 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟭𝟬 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺-𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀, making them an affordable daily snack that moves quickly. While the gradient ripening concept makes sense for minimising waste in solo apartments, the traditional bulk buy remains king for local family baskets. 🍌🛒 Would a graded banana pack work in your house, or do fruits disappear too fast to worry about them over-ripening? WATCH VIDEO | Zimbabwe unveils home-grown laptop brand as Avantis enters global tech race ICT Minister Tatenda Mavetera and Avantis CEO Ari Goldstein have officially unveiled the latest Avantis devices at a high-end launch event now underway in Harare, marking a major moment for Zimbabwe’s emerging technology industry. Positioned as a Zimbabwean alternative in a global laptop market long dominated by foreign brands, the new Avantis range combines faster processing speeds, lightweight premium builds and internationally aligned standards, while remaining accessible to local consumers. At the heart of the devices is the company’s Ultra-chip technology, which Avantis says powers faster, smarter and more energy-efficient computing for students, professionals, creatives and businesses alike. #TechNews #ZimbabweInnovation #Avantis

Our new Parliament is a nice building, but I found the extremely in-your-face prominence of CHINA AID’s involvement quite distasteful and disrespectful to our sovereignty as a nation. The word “CHINA” is actually more prominent than the word “ZIMBABWE” at the front of Parliament and there are THREE permanent plaques honoring China Aid. Surely we can show our gratitude for China’s support towards its construction while maintaining a bit of self-respect for ourselves as a nation at the house of the Zimbabwean People.
